SNAVELY, five-month-old son of Mr. & Mrs. Roy SNAVELY, Louisville, was killed in a collision last Wednesday, (May 20, 1959), at an intersection four miles south of Hodgenville. The SNAVELY family was driving to Campbellsville from Hardinsburg, where they had been visiting. Snavely suffered cuts and bruises, his wife, had a broken arm, leg, and ankle, and Miss GOODMAN, sister to Mrs. SNAVELY, had cuts and possible internal injuries. She was born on March 2, 1932 at Whitesville, in Daviess County, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Arnold and Leona RUMMAGE RODGERS. She was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, and attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. Hazel was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, sewing, and quilting. She, along with members of the United Methodist women, made quilts to be auctioned at their annual fundraiser. She loved animals, and would care for any that came to her home. She worked for Walmart in Leitchfield for many years. She was the friendly, smiling face with the soft voice, that greeted you at the door.
