He retired from the Department of Agriculture as a state inspector; was a member of Rough River Baptist Church; a former member of the Harned VFD (Volunteer Fire Department), and Breckinridge Central EMS. He enjoyed farming and sightseeing with his wife, but was most happy when watching his grandchildren play sports, or be involved with school events. She was born in Breckinridge County on February 13, 1945, a daughter of the late Willard and Anna Rhea CARMAN PILE. Linda was a retired teacher's aide with the Breckinridge County Board of Education. Prior to her husband's death in November of 2014, she and Floyd spent many hours driving around the county, and attending yard sales. He was born in Germany on September 1, 1955, son of the late William Cilian and Hazel Frank Henninger Hardin. Chuck was a member of Kingswood Wesleyan Church, and retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department. He was very creative with his hands and his mind. He carved knives, made birdhouses, collected coins and Indian artifacts. He played the harmonica, and was an extremely funny man. His greatest asset was that he was kind to everyone, and very much a gentleman. He was a volunteer for Community Action Services, and the Salvation Army. He was born in Bonnieville, Hart County, Kentucky on November 28, 1941. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from General Electric where he was a repairman and production worker. He was baptised at Corinth Baptist Church. Wayne was a member of the Hardinsburg VFW Post #5831, and a Mason with the Hardinsburg Masonic Lodge #67. He enjpyed fishing, country music, square dancing, and was quite a story teller. He and his wife, Mary, celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary December 5, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, John W. Hill. DIED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT A 22-year-old Westview man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, September 7, 1986 at 12:38 a.m. on Highway 261, 4.5 miles south of Hardinsburg. George A. Hoskins, Jr. was traveling north on Highway 261 on a 1986 Suzuki when the bike ran off the roadway, went into a sideways skid traveling 100 feet where he was thrown into a signpost. The bike then traveled an additional 110 feet before coming to rest in a field, according to Breckinridge County Sheriff Bobby Kennedy. Hoskins was pronounced dead at the scene by Breckinridge County Coroner Bob Rhodes. Hoskins was born in Breckinridge County on April 11, 1964, a son of George and Wanda Patterson Hoskins of Westview, who survive. He was a graduate of Breckinridge County High School, and was serving in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Campbell. Surviving in addition to his parents are: one sister two brothers his grandparents one great grandmother his foster grandparents Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 9, 1986, at the Kingswood Wesleyan Church.
