Breckinridge County Herald News, Wednesday, June 11, 2003 Obituary - Contributed - Bartonville, Peoria County, Illinois Mrs. Anna Mildred "Millie" ALLGOOD ADAMS, age 73 of Bartonville, Illinois for 44 years, died on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2003 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Judy SEAY, of Zwolle, Louisiana. Born March 3, 1930 at Hardinsburg, Breckinridge County, Ky. She was the daughter of the late James Everett "Everett" ALLGOOD and Maxie Lou OSBORNE both formerly of Hardinsburg. The family moved to Peoria, Illinois on Thanksgiving Day in 1943 leaving from the train station at Sample, and leaving many family members behind in Breckinridge County. She was 13 years old. On December 28, 1946 Millie married a native of Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois, Leonard Franklin ADAMS in Peoria. Her husband preceded her in death February 25, 1995 at their home in Bartonville. Also preceding her in death besides her parents were three sisters: Mrs. Allen (Linda ALLGOOD) McCLASKEY of Jackson, Mississippi Infant Ruby ALLGOOD, who was a twin, dying after 9 hours and 15 minutes old, in Peoria. Ruth ALLGOOD, who was a twin, died at AGE 48 in Peoria. She never married. Millie worked at the Bel-Wood Nursing home in Peoria County for many years until she retired. Surviving her are: three daughters: Mrs. Gary (Peggy) RUSSELL of Kenosha, Wisconsin Mrs. Robert (Judy) SEAY, Zwolle, Louisiana Miss Kathy ADAMS, Bartonville, Illinois three sons: Jerry W. (Norma) ADAMS, Fox Lake, Illinois David F. (Tami) ADAMS, Bartonville, Illinois Ricky D. (Wanda) ADAMS, Richland, Mississippi 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren one brother: Everett Earl "Bud" (Joan) ALLGOOD, Brandon, Mississippi, Two, 1/2 Aunts: Mrs. Mable (Robert) LASLIE, Harned, Breckinridge County Mrs. Cova (Thomas) LASLIE, Hardinsburg, Breckinridge County. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 15, 2003 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with the Reverend Carol Edman of the Bartonville United Methodist Church, of which she was member, officiating. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery in Limestone Township, Peoria, Illinois. Comments: Millie ADAMS is my mother, and she is my connection to Breckinridge County. I have been researching my family since May of 1980.
